Through storytelling, music, theatre, education, and emerging technologies, Lourds creates transformative worlds that awaken people to the fullest expression of themselves.
For more than fourteen years, that mission has taken shape as The SuperYou FUNdation, empowering more than 40,000 young people and adults; as SuperYou Musical, a Broadway- and West End-bound musical; and soon as SuperYouniverse, an AI-powered platform making identity transformation playful, personal, and accessible at scale.
HER STORY
keynote experiences combine storytelling, audience participation, live singing, mindfulness, and the electrifying energy of her signature electric violin. She has brought these experiences to the United Nations, TEDWomen, TEDYouth, Forbes Women, Microsoft’s Global Women’s Conference, and audiences around the world. Her original musical SuperYou has also played to sold-out audiences at Carnegie Hall and London’s Lyric Theatre.
Lourds’ artistic roots are in rock and roll. As lead singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist of her own band, she packed clubs throughout the United States and Canada, earned rave reviews in Billboard, performed as a Billboard Underground headliner, and inspired a devoted following of fans who followed the band from city to city, singing every word of her original songs. She later founded, hosted, and headlined New York City’s annual Medusa Festival, one of the city’s signature celebrations of women in rock. More than festival, it became a community. Fans lined up out the door, artists eagerly sought a place on the bill, and Lourds intentionally cultivated a culture of mutual support where musicians arrived early, stayed late, and cheered on every performer.
Her original music continues to resonate with audiences around the world. Her ballad “To My Angels” has become one of the most-performed contemporary musical theatre songs in senior showcases across the United States, while fans continue translating and sharing her music around the world.
A Harvard honors graduate and certified energy healer, Lourds’ work bridges creativity, human potential, and self-discovery. Recognized for her work at the intersection of entertainment, education, and transformation, she is the recipient of the Ideagen Global Leadership Award, a finalist for the Actors’ Equity Paul Robeson Award honoring dedication to the betterment of humankind, and a two-time finalist for the Fred Ebb Award in musical theatre.
